When Littles Experience Loss: Supporting Young Children Who are Grieving

Unfortunately, the past two years have brought loss and grief to many children. This webinar will explore how toddlers and preschoolers experience grief and loss and what we as early childhood professionals can do to support them. We will explore repairing loss caused by remote learning, social distancing, illness and death. Major emphasis will be placed on recognizing grief in young children and understanding how they comprehend and process death. Ideas for supporting young children who are grieving and their families will provided including talking with children about death, activities to honor loved ones, books, and community resources.

This is a two-part webinar series. Participants must attend both sessions to receive credit, especially IL EI credits.
