The purpose of this presentation is to describe normal characteristics of distortion product otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) in newborn and infants with normal hearing (NH), compared to those with conductive and sensorineural hearing loss. For evidence-base clinical application, optimized criteria will be presented based on recent longitudinal studies at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. These results will be contrasted with other studies across different age groups for clinical application.
