Dr. Gabriel explained the occurrence rate and etiology of cerebral palsy. He reviewed the diagnostic criteria for cerebral palsy including significant motor delay, neurological signs, abnormal muscle tone, and abnormal and persistent reflexes. Dr. Anzueto reviewed use of therapy, assistive technology, and medications for the management of cerebral palsy. Complications for children and families were discussed, and participants were provided with resources for their work with families of children with cerebral palsy.
