Feeding Your Baby Liquid and Solids from Birth to 1 Year

Description

Join us to learn the how and what of feeding babies in their first year of life. We will discuss ways for parents to recognize when an infant is ready to feed, the steps to successful breast and bottle feeding, when to introduce solids, and strategies to promote future adventurous eaters!

Education and discussion facilitated by our Pediatric Dietitian, Lactation counselor, and Feeding Specialist. We invite parents and clinicians to come with questions for a follow up Q&A.

As a result of participating in this virtual workshop, individuals will:

-Learn factors for success with initiating breastfeeding including how to recognize infant feeding cues
-Learn how to achieve an effective latch and optimal body positioning for feeds
-Learn how to choose a bottle/nipple and technique for bottle feeding to support appropriate growth
-Learn how and when to introduce solids and high-allergen foods to support safe skill development and acceptance of a variety of foods.
