EI Lunch and Learn SMoRRES®? Training Program for Parents of Children Who Use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

Description

Children typically produce first words at approximately 12 months of age. However, when speech development is delayed or disordered, optimal communication development cannot occur without appropriate intervention including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). This workshop will help EI providers better understand the importance of parent instruction in AAC to help meet the child’s specific goals.
