DTV Beyond the Basics: Supporting Families Who Have Children Who are Visually Impaired, Blind, or Deaf-Blind

This two-hour workshop will provide Service Coordinators with comprehensive information about the unique role of the Developmental Therapist Vision in the Illinois Early Intervention System. Topics covered will include a review of the types of situations, diagnoses, and developmental concerns that would warrant a referral to a DT/V, screening and evaluation tools used by DT/Vs, the differences between DT and DT/V, and teaming and collaboration to help teams utilize this specialized knowledge to better support children and families.
