Emergent literacy is so much more than just books! In this session, we will discuss how all areas of development – cognitive, motor, social, language, vision, compensatory, self-help - are strengthened by building early literacy skills. Strategies to build your child’s emerging literacy skills that can be easily integrated into your daily routines with the use of household materials will also be shared. Participants will also have the opportunity to begin creating a tactile book customized for their child.
