Diagnosing and Assessing Rare Syndromes

Description

As young children present with developmental and/or medical challenges, understanding the root cause is commonly evaluated. Occasionally a young child receiving EI services will be diagnosed with a rare condition or syndrome that explains the child's limitations or needs. In this training Dr. Nelson will explain how these rare conditions, which result in a child having a need for EI services, are diagnosed. How are rare syndrome evaluated and assessed? How do physician's know what to look for?
He will overview several rare syndromes and the diagnostic process for each.
