2.5 Hours on DVD
In this introductory DVD Teach Me To Talk with Apraxia and Phonological Disorders, speech-language pathologists who work in early intervention programs will learn simple strategies for working with young children with speech sound disorders.
The key diagnostic characteristics of suspected apraxia of speech and phonological disorders will be presented as well as characteristics which lead to differential diagnosis for each of these speech disorders.
Successful strategies for working with toddlers and young preschoolers are discussed and then highlighted with dozens of “real life” therapy clips. Clinicians will be able to use this information to plan effective therapy sessions and provide parent/caregiver education with families of individual children on their caseloads or for group training programs. Many therapists use these DVDs as parent training tools so that a parent/caregiver can SEE a strategy as it's successfully implemented with a toddler with speech sound disorders.
This course is offered for 0.25 ASHA CEUs (Introductory level, Professional area) and 2.5 Hours for other professionals.
