Description

Toxic stress of poverty will directly impact childhood development. Due to the dynamic nature of childhood development and children’s vulnerability, this early exposure to the damaging effects of poverty have lifelong consequences. Identifying the ways in which poverty challenges and modifies childhood development is crucial to our success in enhancing childhood healthy development. Without this knowledge, vital information is missed. This webinar will help develop the knowledge and skills through video, large group discussion and self-reflection. It will also help participants overcome the biases inherent in working with children in poverty.
