Description |
This course described how to use Rhythmic Movement Training as a tool to promote integration of primitive reflexes that, if retained beyond a certain age, may impact the normal development of mobility. Retained reflexes can impact areas addressed across all disciplines (physical, occupational and speech), such as postural control/balance, coordination, motor planning, fine motor, behavior and speech. This course provided a review of the primitive reflexes, typical reflex integration and the typical emergence of lifelong reflexes as well as strategies to help integrate primitive reflexes.
