The Opening Doors Program of Illinois School for the Visually Impaired is pleased to present Dr. Steven Lichtenstein, who will discuss various causes of visual impairment in young children. After the informational portion of the presentation, parents and providers who support young children with visual impairments will be given the opportunity to ask Dr. Lichtenstein any questions related to the medical aspects of visual impairment.
Dr. Lichtenstein will provide information to parents and caretakers on the various reasons for visual impairments in children. Parents will be able to ask the Doctor specific questions on how to interact and involve their children into different activities to promote independence and continued care for their child.
