Critical Thinking in Pediatric Dysphagia

Description

This course will teach participants how to identify and treat signs and symptoms of swallowing and feeding disorders in the pediatric population. Participants will learn how to gauge a child’s response to food and how those reactions can impact the mealtime routine. Research on various oral sensory disorders, oral-motor feeding disorders and mealtime management with be discussed as well as ways to address these issues in treatment. This course will also address medically-based issues related to pediatric swallowing and the best techniques for targeting such deficits.
