Crucial Conversations: Navigating Difficult Family Situations

Description

Navigating difficult family situations can leave some providers and service coordinators with pressing questions about how to proceed. Some of these issues include custody battles, mandated reporting, drug use in the home and other ethical and moral dilemmas that arise during home visits/ LVVs. Some issues can be easily explained with policy and procedure, while other issues require more delicate conversations and difficult decisions. As opinions on the team may vary, it is important to get on the same page to support every family. Confidentiality and HIPAA are other critical considerations. Service coordinators and providers should give much thought to these conversations before they occur, and seek collaborative support as needed, to ensure positive outcomes for families. This webinar will target all topics above.
