The Sequential-Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding

Description

This course will detail the SOS approach approach to feeding and the benefits of examining and treating the "whole child." Participants will learn about the primary myths of eating and how these interfere with understanding and treatment feeding problems. By fully understanding typical feeding development, providers can utilize systematic desensitization as a first approach to feeding treatment. The course will discuss red flags related to feeding, behaviors, and nutrition that may warrant an evaluation and/or treatment. Attendees will leave this course knowing the differences between "picky" eaters and "problem" eaters, and general treatment strategies will be discussed.
