In this two-day evidence-based course, participants through careful instruction are trained to teach parents/primary caregivers how to massage their newborns and children through a hands-on demonstration approach using a doll. Only parents/caregivers have immediate contact with their children. The training is presented through PowerPoint presentations, lecture, audio-visual aids, discussion, and hands-on participation with dolls through a demonstration class with parents and their newborns each day of the training.
** Post practicum portion follows the training to conclude certification. Participants who successfully complete & pass the post-training exam and field-based practicum achieve their Certified Infant Massage Instructors (CIMI®) Certificate. Graduates become a part of the International Registry of CIMI's through ILTF.
Registration fee includes 2- day course instruction, 135+ page training binder, post practicum review and first year certification. Registration fee is $500 if received by early bird date (typically 30 days in advance). Registration fee is $600 if received after the early bird date. Registration fee does not include additional required texts & practice demonstration doll. Those can be purchased through Baby & Me, LLC , through Loving Touch or resourced elsewhere.
