America is quickly becoming a minority majority country. These changes necessitate our learning. Through humor, media, self-reflection, group activities, group and individual discussion, this energetic presentation will challenge participants to move beyond their comfort zones to engage difference. In particular, they will walk the journey of the courage and persistence that it takes to adapt to the differences that they see in family structure, culture, and socio-economic status. Single headed families, LGBT, Military, adoptive, religious families all have strengths that we have to recognize to do good work with diverse families. Participants will learn how provider inclusion prevents family exclusion.
