Building trust with clients and co-workers - December 2019

Description

The foundation for collaborative relationships is a sense of mutual trust. Service Coordinators set the stage during their first contacts with parents through bringing an empathic stance to their interviews, providing valuable information, inviting participation in all components of the process, and showing consistency in follow-up. There are parallel expectations that Service Coordinators have for parents to provide of information, actively participate and follow-up. In addition, relationships within the CFC organization require mutual trust between staff members in order for optimal delivery of services to families. This workshop will explore some of the barriers to sustaining trust in these important relationships and what strategies one might use in response.
