Key features of successful service coordination include effective communication of a great deal of information to parents, collecting information from parents in a family-friendly fashion, artful facilitation of meetings between professionals and parents, and resolving disagreements/misunderstandings between team members. This full-day workshop will focus on assisting CFC staff to adopt communication skills (e.g.,active listening and assertiveness). Building on communication skills learned, participants will explore strategies needed to talk about challenges, and how one may arrive at compromises and solutions. The workshop will include didactic presentation of constructs, practice of skills/strategies, and ample time/encouragement for Q&A.

A 90 minute follow-up Webinar will be scheduled approximately 4-6 weeks after the workshop.
