Educational Workshop by Med El "Explaining Hearing Loss Like a Pro"

Description

MEDEL’s PARENT EDUCATION WORKSHOP SERIES
Many habilitation centers across the nation have a parent night and are looking for content or maybe even the same content emphasized by another person in a different way. Some parents want to hear about advanced hearing technology in a group format so they can get to know others as they make decisions.
The purpose of the Parent Education Workshop Series is to build and/or enhance a community of parents and professionals who have or work with children with hearing loss. Through this series, our vision is a heightened awareness about MEDEL for pediatrics and the services for children with hearing loss available in communities around the nation. MED-EL does this by partnering with a listening and spoken language center-based program and their local MED-EL cochlear implant center to provide information on developing the listening and spoken language skills of the child with hearing loss.
