Description

Opening Ice-Breaker Question/Get to know you time: Everyone Shares (15 min)
Describe a job that you had earlier in life. What were some of the experiences there that had an impact on you?
July Theme/ Introduction:
All of us have different things that make us be “in feelings”. It is often helpful to think about that so that we can understand what might be happening for us at times when we are feeling stirred up. Think for a moment about this…..What gets you “stirred up” in your work experiences?
Group Discussion/Sharing (30 min)
1) What are examples of times when you felt “stirred up” at work?
2) What was causing it?
3) What seemed to help you calm down from that experience – even just a little bit?
4) If the same thing were to happen again, what would be a strategy in the moment that you could use to help you stay calm and focused?

Large Group Discussion: It is important to understand what helps us calm down and get focus again after we are stirred up. What are your strategies for calming down? How can you remember to use those when you need them? (30 min)
Ending Question/Everyone shares: What are you going to remember/take with you from the discussion today? (10 min)
