CFC7 is a work in progress!!
We are improving the way we facilitate IFSP meetings to ensure compliance, consistency and quality for children and families in the Illinois Early Intervention System.
Service Coordinators have participated in a variety of training and technical assistance activities and will be rolling out changes to how IFSP meetings are structured and how certain parts of the process flow.
There will be a greater emphasis on the statewide Child Outcomes Summary (COS) or (8,9,10) and how that information is shared as well as team decision making on ratings.
Service Coordinators will also be tasked with ensuring that IFSP Outcomes are written following guidelines and guidance we received via the Early Intervention Technical Assistance Monitoring Agency.
These changes will feel like a significant shift for many providers and we want you to be prepared! We also want to ensure that families are impacted as little as possible during this learning curve process for both Service Coordinators and Providers.
