Assessing the Needs of the Child with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and the Child with Prematurity and Drug Exposure

Description

This is an "in house" training for CFC #15 Service Coordinators during which Dr. Larry Desch will present medical diagnostic, assessment, treatment information, and resources. Case examples of a child with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome with Encephalopathy and hearing loss; and the child born premature and with prenatal exposure to fentanyl and cocaine. Diagnostic considerations, clinical features, symptoms, causes, prevalence, detection, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, common developmental concerns, interventions, available resources, and overall assessment of the needs of the child and family in EI will be addressed.
