| Description |
This course will provide detailed descriptions regarding developmental milestones of infants from birth to 12 months of age. Areas that will be discussed include motor development, feeding and oral-motor development, and communication development. A hands-on handling lab will be led by therapists of various disciplines and will have several infants present ranging from 2-months-old to 9-months-old. This lab will address techniques for appropriate positioning and handling of infants. In addition, it will provide direct observation of various motor, feeding, and communication skills.
