"The Best Start for Families- A Health Equity Approach" Facilitator Workshop 2

Description

“The Best Start” is an evidence-based program which strengthens psycho-social competencies of professionals working with parents and caregivers in their practice, as well as in their facilitation of Parent Learning Groups.
Workshop II is an intermediate level workshop for facilitators. Professionals participating in this program are expected to have been a part of a basic-training workshop as well as a pilot program.
Professionals will dive deeper into ICDP practices. Professional learning objectives include:
• To facilitate empathy-based social-emotional, cognitive and regulative/ positive discipline interactions between parents and children
• To strengthen psycho-social and educational caring skills
• To strengthen competencies to create a more positive family and school climates
• To help create better parent/child communications and relationships:

Both days are REQUIRED in order to receive ANY IL EI credits.
