Pleading with Parents: End the Technology Distraction!

Description

Important facets of child development are at risk when parents, caregivers, and all adults in a young child's life are distracted by technology. This seminar will review the literature/impact of parent technology use on young children and the specific ways it can impact cognitive, language and social/emotional development, provide suggested activities for distracted adults to provide more intentional interactions. Common barriers for technology distracted parents and caregivers and interventions for overcoming these barriers will also be reviewed.
