Description |
This 'in-house' workshop for CFC service coordinators was developed to provide thorough education on the interrelated process of the various domains of typical developmental. To understand developmental delays and atypical development, one must have a sound understanding of typical infant and toddler development to be an informed member of an early intervention team.
In this 2 and 1/2 hour training, we will cover the domains of gross motor, visual-fine motor, feeding and self care, language and communication, sensory, social-emotional and secure attachment, relationship, cognition and how all these various domains connect and contribute to a child's developing sense of self. Emphasis will be on the developmental 'purpose' of key points in development and also how functional 'performance' in one area may affect another.
