Description |
Objectives:
1) Participants will learn about some of the ways using data can be useful and important to inform their collaborative efforts to transform outcomes for youth.
2) Participants will learn about several key publicly available data resources from which they can draw data for their own use
3) Participants will learn about three data protocols to review and digest data in a way that can support decision-making processes
Attendees will leave with not only awareness of three simple data protocols, but also with having practiced using the protocols themselves so they understand how they function and how they can be adapted to their own work. Our goal is to equip attendees to use data in collaborative
formats via a few simple protocols (3 stations, 1 protocol each). Attendees will also leave with a "packet" of the protocols to be able to take them home and use them. Ultimately, we hope to demystify a bit how practitioners can go about incorporating data into their collaborative efforts and reflecting on
data in easy ways during regular meetings where people come from a variety of comfort levels with data.
