Resilience-Based Interaction Model (RIM) with Children: An Old Wine in a New Bottle

Description

Resilience-Based Interaction Model (RIM) is an approach consisting of emotionally –responsive principles and techniques for adult’s behaviors and language during daily interactions with young children, rather than a curriculum or series of lesson plans. The pilot and research are producing significant outcomes. Currently initially designed for teachers, a parent version of RIM is in development. Participants will learn about this innovative approach to promoting mental health and resilience in young children.
