Short Course 335: Sensory Processing, Executive Function & Occupational Performance Issues in Children With Neurodevelopmental Conditions: Implications for Practice

Description

The strong association between sensory processing and executive function in school-age children with neurodevelopmental conditions is explored. Together these two hierarchical systems of regulatory control exert a powerful influence on a child's ability to engage in daily activities in everyday environments. Discussions include the state-dependent nature of occupational performance and a science-informed approach for scaffolding whole-child interventions to maximize therapy outcomes.
