Short Course 223: Early Childhood Mental Health: Promoting Healthy Relationships When Young Children Are At Risk for Adverse Childhood Experiences

Description

Participants will learn about the relationship between adverse childhood experiences, attachment, co-occupational engagement, and coregulation. Essential resources and strategies to facilitate attachment through health promoting relationships within the context of caregiver-child interactions will be described. Participants will engage in case-based learning and hands-on activities that facilitate application of knowledge to practice in early-childhood settings.
