Reflective Practice: Deepening Our Understanding of Ourselves and Our Practice

Description

The goal of this workshop is to promote a greater understanding of the role of emotions and relationships with the infants/toddlers and families in the early intervention program. This workshop explores the evocative nature of the early interventionists' work, the influences upon the parent and child dyad, and the impact of the provider’s stress level upon the delivery and consistency of direct services. Practical strategies will be explored to support the provider who, in turn, supports the families he/she serves.
