Our speakers will guide you through the NICU baby's journey and weave you through the amazing developmental care by all the caregivers that optimize outcome from hospital, home and beyond!
OBJECTIVES:
1- Participants will understand the implications of prematurity on developmental milestones
2- How to recognize risk factors/signs of common neonatal diagnoses and how and when to refer to specialists/clinics
3- Participants will be able to identify common conditions seen in the NICU and learn about the multidisciplinary developmental approach in the Small Baby Unit
4. How Advocate Children’s Hospital of Park Ridge’s NICU follow-up clinic helps bridge the gap between Early Intervention and outpatient services
5- How therapists promote positive neurodevelopmental outcomes in the neonate across the continuums of care.
