Tube Feeding with Love

Description

In this hospital-based course targeted to a multidisciplinary audience, attendees will learn how to support parents whose medically fragile children have been identified by the doctor as needing a feeding tube to support growth, and how to help parents plan for and navigate the process of reintroducing oral feeding. Topics will include principles of infant tube feeding, recognizing parent stressors around tube feeding, and signs of child readiness to transition to eating orally. Case studies will be presented to illustrate real-life scenarios.
