Connecting Differences Through Difficult Conversations

Description

Whether supporting and communicating with team members in early education settings, or interacting with
family members of children with or without special education needs, the following questions come to mind.
What makes conversations difficult? How are our thoughts, emotions and bodies contributing to making
those conversations more or less challenging? Who do we find difficult to engage with and what do we find
difficult to talk about? What makes our conversations more productive or more destructive? Attend this
training to find practical answers to challenges you may have in engaging in conversations with a goal of
supporting your teaching team members and the families you serve. This training will also address cultural
and linguistic differences which may impact the outcome of our conversations.
