The ABCs of AAC

Description

Communication is the transmission of information from one individual to another. But how do children communicate when speech doesn't meet their needs? The ABCs of AAC will provide an introduction to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for families and professionals. Basic terminology will be defined, the impact of AAC on speech and language development will be discussed, an overview of the system-selection process will be provided, and numerous AAC systems will be available for hands-on interaction.
