GoMAP: Guided Oral Movements with Active Patterning for Toddler Feeding

Description

This course reviews normal anatomy and physiology, normal and abnormal feeding/swallowing patterns, and the interconnected implications of breathing, orofacial development, digestion, and regulatory responses. Introduction to the etiological factors, identification process, and systemic change guided by treatment programs for pediatric feeding disorders will be provided. The GoMAP program targets clinical decision-making skills to support transition from deficit to optimal function for feeding with supporting literature and current research.
