The Importance of Understanding State Regulation for Successful Treatment Interventions

Description

Presentation includes description of infant states of arousal/ behavior and how to recognize these states during your EI treatment sessions. The ability to recognize and respect these infant states at any given time allows therapists to provide more meaningful and successful interventions during their sessions. Typical self-soothing behaviors will also be discussed with a focus on how we can facilitate improved self-soothing behaviors in our sessions. A team-based approach to treating feeding disorders of state regulation will also be introduced.
