Sally Katsaggelos, Co-Director, Pediatric Hearing Loss and Cochlear Implant Program at University of Chicago Medicine. The Thirty Million Word Initiative shares evidence-based interventions to increase caregivers' and practitioners' knowledge and behaviors that utilize language to support the brain development of young children. Best practices and interventions that work to scale are shared with participants today.
The Auditory and Language Learning Guide covers the beginning years of learning to listen, and incorporates the principles of Early Intervention. Examples of what parents and practitioners can do to facilitate learning and language are shared with participants today.
