| Description |
This training will educate providers about how to successfully collaborate with an interpreter/translator.
Topics covered include the difference between interpretation and translation, the legal requirements for having an interpreter present and the interpreters role as a cultural liaison. Attendees will learn practical tips for working with an interpreter in evaluations and in ongoing therapy.
A brief discussion regarding dual language learning/bilingualism will also be included.
