This course presented on an article by Meredith Rowe published in November 2017 in Child Development Perspectives. The article, “Understanding Socioeconomic Differences in Parents’ Speech to Children,” describes current understanding of how parent linguistic input varies depending on SES and various child and parent factors. Implications for tailoring intervention are additionally discussed.
