This course presented on a research article by Harrop et al. that was recently published in American Journal on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The article, “Sensory Behaviors in Minimally Verbal Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder: How and When Do Caregivers Respond?” describes the extensive ways in which caregivers adapt their responses based on their child’s sensory behaviors.
