Students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing with Additional Disabilities

Description

It is estimated that 20-40% of students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing have additional disabilities. How can we support them in our diverse learning environments? This presentation will focus on students with Sensory Processing Disorder or ADHD in addition to hearing challenges. We will discuss the specific learning challenges that these students face, how to spot behaviors that characterize specific disabilities, strategies to support learning and resources.
