Alex offers practical ideas using suspension and non-suspension equipment to implement treatment interventions for children with sensory processing difficulties in the clinic, at school, or at home at Wee Care Therapy. This is your chance to visit our clinic and get practical ideas! Hands on interventions to support breath, coordination, timing, balance, strength will be presented. Modifications, adaptions, and grading of activities will be addressed to facilitate the best possible outcomes. Ideas for improved child engagement will be shared, along with a discussion of ways to facilitate "play" for a stronger therapist-child relationship. A live treatment demonstration will be included. This dynamic workshop will support participants through hands on learning, as they experience the activities in their own bodies. Lastly, Alex will discuss how to create their own sensory equipment at a minimal cost. Dress comfortably for floor or ball sitting and active participation. This is not your typical “table top” workshop
