This course presented current research by Baranek and Woynaroski published in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience in 2017. The article, “Cascading effects of attention disengagement and sensory seeking on social symptoms in a community sample of infants at-risk for a future diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder” explored early sensory signs of autism that may lead to slowed social development.
