Strategies for Recovery of Function During Early Development

Description

After prenatal and early neurologic difficulties, extended hospitalizations and/or neglect in their environment infants and young children often present with delays in their development. Early Intervention is designed to support the young children impacted by the above list, in addition to young children with developmental delays for numerous other reasons.
For this training Dr. Nelson will discuss how brain/function can be "recovered" or greatly improved by any number of strategies. He will discuss interventions such as, making environmental adjustments, re-training, therapy responses, among other things, in addition to the brain's ability to neurologically improve.
He will share research and case studies to describe the response young children have to the "right" interventions and help their brain have function recovery.
