Core development in infants and toddlers

Description

Development of core musculature for infants and toddlers and family focused exercises to incorporate into daily routines.
Core development begins at birth. There are critical components at each stage of development that we need to assure our clients are reaching in order to develop appropriate core strategies to progress their motor skills. This in-service addresses strategies to use to promote appropriate developmental patterns of breathing. Appropriate breathing patterns impact core development and use. Core strength is critical at all ages. I will be addressing positioning as well as a variety of exercises. Family participation is critical as these new strategies should be carried out on a daily basis, integrating them into the family’s typical routine.
