Clinicians will discuss an article by Gladfelter and Goffman published in Developmental Science in November 2016. The article, titled “Semantic richness and word learning in children with autism spectrum disorder” reveals children with ASD benefit from semantically rich learning contexts similar to their typically developing peers; however they have heightened shifts in speech motor stability.
