Understanding the Senses and Sensory Integration

Description

This workshop is designed to educate therapists (speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical and developmental therapists) so that they can understand the role of our senses in maintaining the optimum orientation and regulation of our bodies. They will learn to identify children with sensory processing issues as well as start the conversation with families about sensory processing. The therapists will learn simple sensory integration strategies to incorporate while treating young infants and toddlers in a variety of environments.
