Description

At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
1. Understand the goals of behavior.
1. “What is she saying to me?”
2. “How is she saying it?” and
3. “Where is, this behavior happening?
2. Define the goals of misbehavior and identify them in scenarios.
3. Basic definition and identification of trauma (physical, sexual, and emotional).
4. Define “Encouragement” and List ways to encourage children 0-5 years-old
4. Provide basic interventions such as:
a. Proper limit setting (appropriate discipline techniques)
b. Emotion identification/regulation
c. Create calm and predicable transitions
d. Praising publicly and criticizing privately
e. Adapting methods to accommodate a traumatized child (Home, school/daycare, and office).

Lunch provided.

There will be question/answer/discussion time.

No Charge for Early Intervention families.
